The 2A636F3 horizontal boring machine in complete with a fixed front rack and a built-in rotary worktable has a retractable spindle with a diameter of 125 mm and a built-in faceplate with a radial support that expands the technological possibilities for processing holes of large diameters, cutting planes and grooves.

The machine is designed for processing body parts weighing up to 10 tons by carrying out the following technological operations:

• Drilling, countersinking, boring, reaming of holes connected by coordinates; it is possible to process coaxial holes with a 180-degree rotation of the table;

• Milling of planes, grooves and ledges;

• Threading with a tool by means of a retractable spindle;

• Drilling holes of large diameters and grooves using the built-in radial support.

The 2A636 machines have the following general design features:

• The hollow milling spindle is mounted on precision rolling bearings with durability sufficient for the entire service life of the machine;

• The retractable boring spindle made of nitrided steel moves in bushings made of steel SHX-15, hardened to hardness HRC62, that ensures long-term preservation of accuracy;

• Gaps in the guides of the spindle headstock and worktable are excluded by spring-loaded rollers that increases the accuracy of coordinate movements along the X, Y, Z axes;

• The bed has three guides, of which the middle one is prismatic, and the two extreme ones are flat, that provides reliable support to the turntable during its transverse movement, including in extreme positions;

• The guides of the movable assemblies are equipped with overlays made of TSAM10-5 alloy, that increases the smoothness and sensitivity of movements;

• The guides of the lower sleigh and the bed are protected from ingress of chips and dirt by telescopic protection with rubber seals;

• The machine worktable is equipped with a high-precision rotation sensor, which automatically stops accurately in any position with an error of no more than 2 arc seconds;

• Each axis of the machine has its own feed servo that ensures smooth, automatic adjustment of speeds and feeds;

•  l ubrication of all mechanisms is mainly centralized, automatic;

•  t he working bodies have automatic hydraulic clamps.
