In May 2017, 1SC (www.rusmachine.ru) has finished modernization of vertical turning lathe, model 1525F1 with digital read out system – DRO. Maximum processing diameter is 2500 mm, height is up to 1600 mm, workpiece weight is up to 16 tons.
Main reducer and side feeding boxes with a large number of electromagnetic couplings were replaced with modern servo drives with a wide range of speed control. For torque increase small-size planetary reducers which don’t require maintenance were installed on axes. New pulse lubrication system was installed for traverse, left and right carriage, new hydraulic unit was set for face plate lubrication.
Machine guideways were grinded and scraped, saddle guideways were reinforced with ZEDEX friction.
After the overhauling vertical turning lathe 1525F1 conforms to GOST 44-72 standards of accuracy and rigidity. Overhauling period was 3,5 months.
